RPS is partnered with Waste Management firm located in the US to develop production scale process to convert biomass that is from hardwood or softwood or agriculture waste to high-quality Lignin and Sugars. The process was developed after many years of R&D work performed by private and government partnership. The process is capable of producing high-quality Lignin that can be blended with plastics and various other products to minimize the carbon footprint. The sugars produced through this process are used to produce Ethanol or other high-value products. The residual biomass solid waste produced after extraction of Lignin and Sugars are pelletized to be used as fuel to replace coal.
We believe the above process methodology will kick-start a new industry that uses Biomass on a large scale to produce fuels and plastics. We expect to commercialize the first production facility by mid-2019.
