Biodiesel Distillation

Biodiesel Distillation is a complex process of Evaporation and Fractionation of Methyl Ester (Biodiesel) under extreme negative pressure and high temperature to produce Distilled Biodiesel. RPS have installed several of these columns in the Biodiesel Production Facilities around the world. We will work with you to design the columns to address your specific Biodiesel Distillation needs. We are also capable of fractionating fatty Alcohols from hydrotreated Methyl Esters to high-value products.

Distilled Biodiesel product is a necessity for every Biodiesel Production Facility

Efficient Process with less than 1% Yeild Loss

Some of the advantages of Biodiesel Distillation are the following.

  1. Colorless Distilled Biodiesel.
  2. Trace quantities of mono, di and tri-glycerides.
  3. Improved results on cold soak filtration test.
  4. No metals, sulfur, and none-ester impurities.
  5. High customer acceptance in winter months.
  6. No blending issues, when mixed with Diesel.
  7. Exceeds ASTM-6751 Standards.

Packed Column with Lowest Pressure Drop

Pressure Drop across the distillation column is a key factor that impacts you distillation efficiency and product quality. Our pressure drop across the Biodiesel Distillation Column is the lowest in the Industry.

Robust, Simplified, Economical & Efficient

Our Biodiesel Distillation columns are made of stainless steel 304/316 SS with structured packing built specific for the Biodiesel Distillation application. We have highly experienced engineering team to address any methyl ester distillation or fractionation requirements you may have. We have gained our experience and knowledge after several Biodiesel Distillation Column installations. Our Biodiesel Distillation column design offers the lowest energy requirement in the industry with least product losses to the column bottoms.

It has become very critical for traditional Biodiesel production facilities to produce high quality Biodiesel with low quality feedstocks. Our Biodiesel Distillation systems address this key issue and maintain the quality consistent invariable of the feedstock and resolve blending, cold soak filtration, and fuel color acceptance problems.
